The Bezos Scholars Program @ the Aspen Institute is a year-long leadership development program for public high school juniors and educators. It begins with a scholarship to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival and continues through the following school year when Bezos Scholar teams return home to launch sustainable, Local Ideas Festivals that transform their schools and communities. After being selected from Tokay High School in Lodi, CA, Julie Fukunaga and AP Environmental Science teacher Mrs. Starr are starting a science festival to engage the Northern California community in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) for February 20th, 2016.
